Wichita contractor to build CapFed branch
Commerce Construction Services Inc. has been named the general contractor for Capitol Federal Savings’ new branch in Andover.
The Topeka-based thrift will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday at the site at Vantage Point Properties’ Andover Marketplace development at Kellogg and Andover Road.
Commerce is slated to start actual work on the building next week. The 3,600-square-foot structure is expected to be complete in January.
It is CapFed’s first branch in Andover. The $8.1 billion thrift is the state’s largest financial institution with 39 locations across Kansas.
WDM Architects designed the building. The branch will sit close to a Dillons Marketplace store, which is the development’s anchor retailer.
