PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR
NEW OFFICE PARK AT THE WATERFRONT

(Wichita, KS) – Vantage Point Properties, developer of Wilson Estates Office Park, has purchased eight acres of a 16-acre parcel at The Waterfront and announced plans to develop three Class A office buildings totaling 85,000- square-feet at the 13th & Webb Road site. The land was purchased from Box Development, L.L.C. which is keeping four acres to develop. Delta Dental Plan of Kansas has the remaining four acres under contract where they will build their new corporate headquarters.

Vantage Point’s eight acres together with Box Development’s and Delta Dental’s land will comprise what will be called Lakeside at the Waterfront. The entire complex will include up to six buildings and 167,500-square-feet making it one of largest office developments in the city.

According to Vantage Point Properties President Paul Jackson, Lakeside at The Waterfront will have the most lake frontage of any office development at The Waterfront. “Water is always a strong and very appealing feature,” Jackson said. “The lakeside setting and upscale nature of this site is consistent with the office projects Vantage Point develops and we believe this location is a standout within the Waterfront development.”

The offices will consist of multi-story buildings ranging in size from 20,000 to 40,000-square-feet. The development will feature modified prairie-style architecture using clean, horizontal lines and wide windows to take full advantage of the lakeside view. Materials will reflect those used throughout The Waterfront including natural and cut stone, dark red brick and brick detailing. Extensive landscaping and pedestrian walkways with outdoor seating will accent the upscale office environment.

A familiar office developer in east Wichita, Jackson said he anticipates brisk interest in the project. “Highly visible building and monument signage, doorside parking, modern infrastructure, proximity to shopping, dining and major thoroughfares all combine to make Lakeside at The Waterfront an extremely desirable location,” said Jackson. “We are at 94% occupancy at our Wilson Estates Office Park so this gives us additional options for businesses seeking first-class space.”
