KANZA BANK TO OPEN LOAN PRODUCTION OFFICE
AT WILSON ESTATES OFFICE PARK

(WICHITA, KS) – KANZA Bank, a $125 million family-owned community bank based in Kingman, Kansas, will open a commercial loan production office (LPO) at Wilson Estates Office Park. The announcement was jointly made by Paul Jackson, president of Vantage Point Properties, Inc., developer of Wilson Estates Office Park, and John Boyer, president and CEO of KANZA Bank.

KANZA will open a 1,331-square-foot office on the first floor of the Hinkle Elkouri Law Firm Building at 8621 East 21st Street, Suite 180, says Jackson. It will begin operations in mid to late October and be staffed by two full time employees, including commercial lender and vice president, Barry Purdy, a 10-year banking veteran, who will oversee the new location. According to Boyer, the new office will focus on a growing segment for the bank, commercial lending to small and medium-size businesses. “As a community bank, our niche is knowing our customer and having management and key staff who are personally accessible and responsive,” says Boyer. “Coupled with the right products and pricing, this service approach makes us very appealing to small and medium-size businesses.”

Although they considered a number of northeast Wichita locations, Boyer indicated the choice to move to Wilson Estates was an easy one for the bank. “From our perspective, Wilson Estates is the hub and heart of northeast Wichita growth. It is attractive, accessible and logistically in the middle of the markets we envision serving,” Boyer stated.

According to Paul Jackson, the arrival of KANZA Bank continues to solidify his development’s position as the center of northeast Wichita’s financial and legal district. “The arrival of KANZA will mark the twelfth financial services provider located at Wilson Estates Office Park,” Jackson noted. “As a strong and stable service-oriented bank, KANZA fits well with the character of the development.” Lease negotiations on the transaction were handled by Jackson.

A development of Vantage Point Properties, Wilson Estates Office Park is a 25-acre campus-style office park located on 21st Street just east of Bradley Fair Parkway. Ground was broken for the project in 1997. Since that time, the park has grown rapidly, offering 216,000 sq. ft. of office space that is 94% leased.

Currently the park is home to more than 30 businesses including Hinkle Elkouri Law Firm, Security Title, BlueStone Television, American Express Financial Advisors, Depew & Gillen, SNB Bank of Wichita, Cozen O’Connor, Morgan Stanley and Preferred Health Systems.

Wilson Estates Office Park features more than 10 acres of landscaped lakes, walkways and water features, and is located just steps from Wichita’s lifestyle shopping center, Bradley Fair.
