ITOCHU AVIATION RELOCATING WICHITA OFFICE TO
ADAMS JONES BUILDING AT LAKESIDE AT THE WATERFRONT
(Wichita , KS ) - ITOCHU Aviation, Inc. , a global aerospace corporation and longtime Beechcraft dealer, has announced plans to move its Wichita office to Lakeside at the Waterfront. ITOCHU Aviation will relocate January 1, 2008 and occupy 2,910-square-foot on the second floor of the Adams Jones building located at 1635 North Waterfront Parkway . The announcement was made by Paul Jackson , president of Vantage Point Properties and developer of Lakeside at the Waterfront, and Dana Cox , general manager of ITOCHU Aviation.
"Having an international aerospace company the caliber of ITOCHU as your neighbor provides a great testament to Lakeside at the Waterfront," says Jackson . "It substantiates that the development is viable for a broad base of business seeking a prominent location coupled with convenient access."
ITOCHU Aviation joins Adams Jones Law Firm and Keller Williams Realty in the 29,000-square-foot building. The building has approximately 2,000 square feet for lease on the first floor and 3,800 square feet remaining on the second floor. Lakeside at the Waterfront is Vantage Point Properties' latest upscale office project. Vantage Point Properties owns eight acres of the development and is /ITOCHU Aviation Moves to Lakeside at the Waterfront developing three multi-story office buildings ranging in size from 29,000- to 41,000-square-feet. Box Development, L.L.C. owns four acres and Delta Dental of Kansas owns the remaining four acres. When complete, the entire Lakeside at the Waterfront complex will include up to six buildings and 167,500-square-feet making it one of the city's largest office developments.
"Since much of our business is Beechcraft related, ITOCHU will benefit from the proximity to Hawker Beechcraft," says Cox. "Our current lease expires at the end of the year and we were looking for a highly accessible office location. The combination of location, space available and Paul Jackson's accommodating attitude made Lakeside at the Waterfront an ideal choice."
Lease negotiations were handled by Jackson, Cox and Craig Ablah with Classic Real Estate . Spangenberg Phillips is project architect and High Plains Construction is the contractor.
Vantage Point Properties has been developing, managing and leasing properties for 14 years, and has developed more than a million square feet of commercial real estate in the Wichita area. In October 2006, Vantage Point Properties announced they would expand their portfolio to include mixed-use and retail properties, beginning with the development of MarketPlace, a 140-acre mixed-use development at Kellogg and Andover Road .
